What the retainer covers
- Managed hosting
- Your system runs on infrastructure we own the responsibility for. Capacity, certificates, and domains are our problem.
- Monitoring
- We watch uptime and errors and usually know about a fault before you do.
- Security patches
- Dependencies and platforms are kept current, quietly, before age becomes risk.
- Daily backups
- Your data is backed up every day, and restores are tested — a backup that has never been restored is a hope, not a plan.
- AI usage included
- For AI systems, the monthly cost of the AI itself is bundled into the plan. No surprise usage bills.
- Monthly improvement hours
- A set number of hours each month for changes, refinements, and small additions — so the system keeps fitting the business as the business moves.
- A named contact
- You have the direct address of the person responsible for your system, not a ticket queue.
- Response commitments
- Each plan carries a stated response time for faults, and we report against it honestly.
Why we work this way
The alternative is familiar: an agency builds a system, hands it over, and eighteen months later nobody knows how to change it, the hosting bill lands on someone's personal card, and the one thing everyone relies on has become the one thing nobody will touch.
You can self-manage anything we build — you own the code and the accounts, and we will hand over cleanly and document everything. Most clients look at what their own time costs and choose the retainer. Either way, the choice is stated up front, at signature, in the same document as the build price.
Plans
Prices are per system, in GBP or USD as shown, and agreed in writing before work starts. Every plan includes hosting, monitoring, security patches, daily backups and a named contact.
For the AI and internal systems we build for established businesses. AI usage is bundled, so there are no surprise usage bills.
