The client
AsinPulse serves Amazon sellers who make range and buying decisions from large amounts of product data. The founders needed working software with billing, not a prototype.
The problem
Product research meant exporting data and fighting spreadsheets: slow to filter, impossible to share, and with no way to ask an open question of the data. The technical risk was scale — the tool had to stay fast while querying an enormous product catalogue, or it would be worse than the spreadsheets it replaced.
What we built
A research platform where sellers filter and compare products with toggleable columns and saved filter presets, and ask questions of the data through a built-in AI research assistant. Billing runs on two tiers — a recurring subscription plus credits for AI usage — so the cost of the AI is carried by the people using it. Before launch we stress-tested the platform against a catalogue of more than 1,000,000 products to prove the performance held. The build took eight weeks.
What changed
The platform is live with paying customers. Research that meant an evening of spreadsheet work became minutes of filtering, saved presets made the process repeatable across the team, and the credit-based billing meant AI running costs scale with revenue rather than eroding it. For us it was also the proof, at scale, of the query performance work we now reuse in document-heavy systems.
